Dr Mark Dornan

School of Nursing and Midwifery

Dr Mark Dornan is an Adult Nursing Lecturer and Early Career Researcher with a professional background in Primary Care Nursing. Alongside his dedication to teaching, Dr Dornan’s research focuses on the areas of cancer survivorship and supporting patients and families with psychosocial challenges of cancer. Dr Dornan's current research focuses on the impact living with a chronic health condition can have on eating and drinking in social settings (commensality). Mark has worked in the digital technology industry and has a continued interest in Nurse Informatics and ethical practices of AI in healthcare.

  • Understanding the impact of chronic health conditions on eating in social environments.
