Ashok Malhotra is a historian of British India, as well of the twentieth century global organic farming movement. He completed his PhD at Edinburgh University and has previously served as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Warwick. His current research project examines the ways in which colonial and agricultural research, undertaken in British India in the twentieth century, subsequently shaped the organic and environmental movements which emerged in the 1940s and 60s in Britain and the US.
