Dr Patricia Carlisle

School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work

I am interested in lived experiences of mental health and how mental health services and professionals respond. I have a particular interest in spirituality (inclusive of theistic expressions) and its associated practices. I am also interested in epistemic injustice and the ways in which spirituality may be a site of injustice and anti-oppression. I have a broad interest in social work practice with a developing interest around how emotion is engaged with in individual practice, and within organizational and team culture regarding how this is supported in day to day practice.
