Dr Teresa Degenhardt

School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work

Dr Degenhardt Research is dedicated to understanding the complex intertwining of conflict and crime; in relation to global justice claims and securitization of societies, and in the context of the so called ‘war on terror’.

Through her work, she is exploring the multiple connections between military interventions and human rights; policing and security at a distance; but she has also looked at security technology in border control, and crimes against migrant sex workers. In general she is interested in current transformation of forms of social control in late modern societies- at transnational and national level.
